Servant of God Mgr Raymond Francis Camillus Mascarenhas, the former Vicar General of the Diocese of Mangalore and the Founder of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany was a holy priest of the Diocese of Mangalore. His memory is fresh in us, though he went to his eternal abode in the year 1960. He is remembered for his pastoral zeal and commitment.
Mgr Mascarenhas was a renowned educationist of his time and visualized education as a means to give life and transform the ignorant, especially the poor and the girls.

A statue of Servant of God Raymond FC Mascarenhas was unveiled by Monsignor Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop Designate of Shimoga in the Bethany Generalate premises on Easter Sunday at 10.30 am.
The 53rd Death Anniversary of Servant of God Raymond F C Mascarenhas, the founder parish priest of St Sebastian Church Bendur, Mangalore, was celebrated with a solemn Eucharistic sacrifice officiated by Most Rev Aloysius Paul D’Souza, the Bishop of Mangalore. Fifteen priests concelebrated the Mass. In his homily the Bishop underscored the importance of trust in God and spotlighted the trust and confidence the Servant of God had in Divine Providence.
